Wall Ball Contest
Hit the Wall PYL! & Win Prizes!
This month's prize is - a $100 Gift card to Dick's Sporting Goods. There will be one ticket drawing for Girls and one for Boys! Every video sent or posted to IG, and every entry on a printed log earns a chance at the prize. The more you hit the wall, the more chances you get.
Wall Ball is an easily attainable activity that can be done alone or with a partner. If you do not have an appropriate wall or a pitchback where you live, don't worry! We have placed a few pitchbacks around the towns for everyone's convenience.

Pipe Stave Hill in West Newbury
Cammett Field (beside the West Newbury Youth League baseball batting cages)
Stadium turf at the PRMHS
You can also play wall ball on the brick wall on the backside of the Stadium.
The other option is to find a friend and do this routine as you would partner passing during a PYL pratice.
Everything counts!

How does the contest work?
We recorded a video for Boys and Girls for the Beginner and Advanced Wall Ball Routines. Each month, we will add another Beginner and Advanced routine. We will also add Shooting Skills to the contest for even more challenges (stay tuned for those). Have the kids challenge themselves and do as much of the routine as they can and as often as possible. The videos show the stick skills, which are geared for kids in grades 1-8. Videos can be found on our PYL YouTube Channel and through the links here:
Then What?
Pick your routine, and do it as often as possible from 9/16/24 to 10/16/24. Don't worry about it being perfect. If they drop the ball, no need to start over. We are not looking for perfection. This is more about repetition. You can print this sheet and log it HERE. For each entry, your child will receive 1 ticket for the raffle drawing at the end of each month. If your child is old enough, they are welcome to post a video of them doing the routine and tag @pentucket_youth_lacrosse on Instagram for 1 ticket per post.
Keep the log and at the end of each month, email them HERE. We will draw a boy and a girl's name at the end of each month for a prize. There will be a new routine for October and November and prizes at the end of each month. Prizes include a $100 Gift Cards to Dick's Sporting Goods and PYL swag.
Wall ball is a fun, useful way for our kids to improve their stick skills and have fun. Whether it is against a pitchback, a brick or concrete wall and passing with a friend, the skills in these curated routines will make everyone who participates a better lacrosse player.
So...have the kids HIT THE WALL! And Hit it often. The more they hit the wall and do one of the routines, the more chances they will have to win PRIZES, and even more importantly, the more prepared we will all be for the 2025 Spring lacrosse season.

2025 Spring Season Info
Registration Opens November 1st!
Town Teams (Pentucket Youth Lacrosse)
Little Laxers- coed grades PreK(4 years old) to K
1/2 - boys and girls teams for grades 1 & 2
3/4- boys and girls teams for grades 3 & 4
5/6 - boys and girls teams for grades 5 & 6
7/8 - boys and girls teams for grades 7 & 8
Details:
- Teams consist of kids from Groveland, Merrimac, and West Newbury
- Indoor practices (1x/week) begin the week of 2/27/25 and move outdoors around the end of March/beginning of April. Outdoor regular season practices are 2x a week for 90 minutes each. Practices are usually Tuesday, and either Thursday or Friday from 5:30-7 pm. Little Laxers sessions are Sundays from 11-12 pm
- Games begin the first weekend of April
- Games are on Sundays either at Pipestave Hill in West Newbury or at the opposing team’s field
- The regular season is 8 weeks, with no games on Easter Sunday or Memorial Day Weekend
- Financial Aid for registration fees and equipment is available. We strongly believe this is a game for everyone and cost should never be a reason any child is excluded.

$190 -3/4 to 7/8
Each child registered in teams from 1/2 to 7/8 will also need to pay league insurance, which is $40 per child.
